Empowering Every Ability—Our Story, Our Purpose

IAD is a civil society organization founded on October 25, 2022, by five Ethiopian persons with disabilities. We were established out of a deep concern for the violations of the basic rights of persons with disabilities and the significant accessibility problems in Ethiopia. Our recognition license was provided by the FDRE Agency for Civil Society Organizations (ACSO) on January 26, 2023 (18/05/2015 EC) with certificate number 6645.

A journey of commitment and dedication to disability inclusion

The history of IAD: IAD was founded by five Ethiopian persons with disabilities on October 25, 2022, in response to their concerns about human rights violations and accessibility issues faced by people with disabilities in Ethiopia. Our organization officially received its recognition license on January 26, 2023, from the FDRE Agency for Civil Society Organizations (ACSO).
